[Lab] gear thoughts

Look into the relative sizes of the Lego Technic gears. I'm sure they've already done a lot of the consideration of what works well.
If I remember correctly, they have small, medium, large, huge. medium + medium is the same overall size as small+large
I'm also sure that the uber lego enthusiasts have better names for them than small, medium, large, huge

| In retrospect the two size version may not be all that exciting. The
| possibilities are pretty limited.
| Any thoughts?

| | I'm making a gear toy for a young child and wanted there to be lots of
| | different gear sizes.
| | It's easy to make two gear sizes that fit two ways. That will be good for
| | this version of the toy. But for further versions (the six year old version
| | for instance), I want to have examples of gear/pinion coupled together and
| | more sizes. Any ideas?
