   The bag is a pretty clever solution to the problem - nice one! Reminds
me of a brush roll:

   Sad to see the wooden/cardboard box idea get the axe - I'd like to see
how that turns out.
   I noticed you have a preference for slot/tab edges. Something fun to
maybe explore (especially for an art box) are decorative filigreed metal
box corners. You might get similar strength and rigidity, with a different
type of finish.
