[Lab] Looking for ideas

My girlfriend isn't hearing impaired, but when she sleeps, she'd dead to the world and her alarm will go for minutes before she wakes up. I've found a few nudges with the elbow works just fine, but they're not always well received. An alternative to vibration could be air currents. A fan or blow dryer on a timer at the outlet, and then aimed at her head might work here, although it wouldn't work for the door bell.
