[Lab] what are people using to make videos of their computer screen?

I made videos in the 90's too. :)

I know there are lots of expensive tools but I'm trying to get something
affordable together.

It looks like it wont be too hard as I already have a few videos made. I
will start adding voice to them too. (I can do that in microsoft movie
maker).

So it's pretty well solved for the Windows side.
