The Mantis CNC [http://makeyourbot.org/mantis9-1] is minimal computer-controlled CNC Mill.  It's parts cost ~$100.  We plan on buying the parts together and collaborating resources for the build (saw / drill press).  The parts purchase will take place early January 2011.  There is a separate page to discuss this project here[http://www.artengine.ca/modlab/index.php/Mantis_CNC_Build_2011].

City-Wide Scavenger Hunt

Project Organizer: Emily Daniels

I'm hoping to collaborate with people on organizing an Ottawa specific scavenger hunt with an interactive web component. The premis is to put bar codes around the city that people can collect and enter into a website to unlock a puzzle of art and music or if there are funds available, making Reverse Geocache Puzzle boxes [1] to integrate with the hunt. We'd host a weekend long event where people could enter the codes they collect and play or mod the interactive layers of music and art they unlock.
