Glass Ceiling: Fire and Water © 2003 Maureen Flynn-Burhoe

I worked with Adobe PhotoShop to create this multi-layered montage last November. The surface of the coffee table is disturbed by subtle ripples on Lac Bell. The cedar canoe barely disrupts the mirror lake surface. Angled light makes visible the nexus of the algae forest below. It's all in the angle with which one sees. Flames continue to burn in water. Is the glass half empty or half full?

Maureen Flynn-Burhoe invites you to an opening of her art exhibition which includes earlier paintings and drawings in gouache, oil sticks and acrylic as well as her more recent layered digital images using Adobe Photo Shop.
