CSO CHRISTMAS CONCERT DECEMBER 10 - FUN FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY
The Cantata Singers of Ottawa’s Christmas concert takes place on Sunday, December 10 at 3 pm in St. Joseph’s Church, 174 Wilbrod Street. Back by popular demand, it’s the second edition of the “Family Christmas Spectacular”. Again this year, there will be “favourite Christmas music old and new” – with even more sing-alongs, fanfares and descants!
Come and hear glorious Christmas music performed by the CSO and their guest artists, the Ottawa Children’s Choir and the Cathedral Brass.
CSO’s Artistic Director, Andrew McAnerney, has again designed a programme to put everyone in a Christmas mood with lots of audience participation. It will appeal to people of all ages, be they children, seniors and family groups. What a perfect opportunity to have that pre-Christmas outing with grandchildren, nieces or nephews! Children 12 and under are free.
The CSO will perform a number of beautiful, and sometimes fun, carol arrangements. The Ottawa Children’s Choir will perform John Rutter’s beautiful carol cycle “Dancing Day”. The Cathedral Brass will provide a medley of Christmas favourites.
But the largest number of selections has been reserved for the audience to sing-along with the choir. There will be carol arrangements in both English and French accompanied by the brass fanfares and with descants - plus a repeat of last year’s popular, interactive version of “The Twelve Days of Christmas”!
Adult $30, Senior $25, Student $10 ($5 discount for advance purchase for Adults and Seniors). Children 12 and under FREE.
