Artwork on a platter, like an offering, a tribute, a gift.
I invite you to remember breathing. Breath is the first step to become aware of our inner workings. Drawings of human anatomy calling to bring awareness to how our organs work, to pay attention deep inside. I drew them on round sections of my mother’s trousseau, and I glued them onto white porcelain. White embroidery and porcelain represent the place where my two grandmothers found their place and identity. Choosing these white elements, I allude to my feminine ancestors, and I transform them into something new.
This artwork is my gift to you: An invitation to feel and become aware of your inner anatomy, where we are all the same colour: white, black and red.
Now close your eyes, and remember breathing.
