Julia Polyck’s imagery includes renderings
of cars, partial bodies, birds and buildings. In her visceral repetition
of this vocabulary of images, there’s a sense of spontaneity and
a representation of the division between the mechanical and spiritual life.
As well as growing up in the Yukon, her aesthetic is informed by her art
school experience at the University of Ottawa.
