Hannah Jickling has looked back to her childhood and creates work that recalls scenarios from growing up. In some of her artists’ books, she publishes short stories she wrote in grade school. The installation “Brad’s Body Orbits,” suggests the fan’s desire to get a piece of the ‘star.’ As well as growing up in the Yukon, her art is informed by her current experience at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design.
