Robert Bien works in the West Coast Native tradition of mask making and is currently studying at the school of Pacific Northwest Coast Native Indian Art and Culture at �Ksan in Hazelton, British Columbia. Among his masks are the bear, beaver and human. Coming from the Champagne-Aishihik First Nations, he carries on the tradition of carving as a way to stay connected with the land and its inhabitants.
