Meshell Melvin lives in a small house
in the woods near Atlin with her two little boys and their pets. It�s a
lively household and space is tight. In the kitchen, jars and dishes are
stacked up and jammed into shelves and cupboards. Her work, �Kitchen Corner�
brings the viewer into Melvin�s domestic and emotional space. To make her
fabric paintings, Melvin sews together textiles of many textures, patterns
and colours.
